Pastor and Principal’s Messages:

 Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to St. Mary’s Catholic School. We are happy to have your children with us as we begin our 109th year of teaching. Our school is “faith based”- Jesus Christ, as He is proclaimed by the Catholic Church, is our one sure foundation. Because of Him we welcome members of other Christian communities and all men and women of good will.

To ensure good order in our school, please read carefully your personal copy of our Parent/Student Handbook. It explains our school policies and will answer many of your questions.

Please keep in mind that this booklet does not contain the information you will need during the year. At times, you will also receive other important notifications. When the Catholic Diocese and/or the school change a policy, it overrides the past policy.

The handbook is not a contract, but rather an explanation of the rules and regulations that are necessary for the smooth operation of St. Mary’s Catholic School. If you have questions, please free to contact the school administration.

Thank you for sending your child to St. Mary’s. Let us work together for the benefit of our children-both spiritual and intellectual.

May God bless you and your family.

Sincerely,

Rev. Fr. Patrick Lynch, CSsR

Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Parish

Students and Parents of Saint Mary’s Catholic School:

We welcome you to St. Mary’s Catholic School. We are a school that is based on Catholic principles and dedicated to a Christian environment. Our responsibility to our students is to provide a sound education program in a safe environment that enables us to carry out the mission of our school.

This mission can only be fully accomplished with the combined efforts of our students, parents, faculty and staff. Everyone must contribute to this effort for our success. The expectations that we have for our students extends to parents, faculty and staff, and each member of the Saint Mary’s Community. These expectations emphasize and focus on the three ‘R’s of Respect, Responsibility and Reflection. A productive citizen should promote respect for themselves and others, develop a higher level of responsibility in everyday life, and constantly reflect on how we could be more productive to support our families and society.

We as parents accept the role of being primary educators of our students. Your children become our students as members of the Saint Mary’s community. We as parents, students, faculty and staff need to be committed to promoting our school as a safe, healthy, respectful environment. Discuss these principles with your students as you review your handbook.

We welcome you to Saint Mary’s Catholic School. We must all contribute to the success of its mission.
